一组专业人士向一群4到8岁的孩子提出了这个问题：“爱是什么？”他们给出的答案比其他人所能想像的更广泛更深刻。对这个问题你能想到什么？你和这些孩子们所想到的，会是一样的吗？

　　“When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn’t bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That’s love。” — Rebecca, age 8

　　“当我的奶奶得了关节炎，她不能弯下腰涂指甲油，所以我的爷爷一直帮她做这件事，即使他的手也得了关节炎。这就是爱。”——Rebecca，8岁

　　“Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French fries without making them give you any of theirs。” — Chris, age 6
